The Art Show at the Topsfield Town Library for the month of February features the students of Bill Deveney. Bill is a well known Watercolor artist from Lynn who has won many awards for his style, color and perspective . Bill’s enthusiasm and ability to teach has resulted in the work featured in this show. Everyone needs a coach and Bill has had an impact on all of his students. Each artist has their own style and Bill helps each artist find their personal vision. His Watercolor class meets every Tuesday and the students in his class have all levels of experience. Some have painted in other mediums for many years and there are beginners who have never painted at all. The class members come from many communities along the North Shore. The class members support and learn from each other and have become a close knit group engaging in the pursuit of learning this amazing craft. With the right environment and guidance giant leaps forward in one’s art journey can be made. This exhibit represents what this is all about. Bill leads the group to art museums and shows around the area. Weather permitting he leads the group to local areas to paint ”en plein air”.

Most of the artists belong to the Lynnfield Art Guild which is open to all artists in all mediums. Monthly demonstrations by local artists foster a love of art.
