On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, United States, and Canada.
In order to safely view an eclipse, you must use eclipse glasses.
We will have eclipse glasses available at the Topsfield Town Library! Pick yours up beginning Tuesday, April 2 at 10:00 AM during our open hours. Supplies are limited, so please only take what you need!
Viewing any part of the bright sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury. Do NOT use eclipse glasses or handheld viewers with cameras, binoculars, or telescopes. Those require different types of solar filters.
